Brethren,
The 39th District had a good year in 2011 and hopefully 2012 will be even better.
In 2012 the Lecture Service is required for the even numbered lodges, this includes: 118-170-292-446-650 Under Provisions of Regulation 29-10, there shall be a minimum of seven (five officers and two members) of the lodge present at each Lecture Service session. It is highly preferred that the officer attendance includes all the principle officers and deacons but all others are encouraged to attend. Lodges requiring the mandatory Bi-yearly Lecture Service shall be required to have this service completed by December 1st of the applicable year. The annual Certified Lectures exam will take place on Saturday morning, August 25th starting at 9:00 AM and will once again be held at Nichols-West Asheville Lodge #650 located at 22 Brevard Rd. Asheville.
If you are planning a degree and need a Certified Lecturer, please let me know as much in advance as you can and I will make sure a lecturer is available.

Brethren,
The new year is once again upon us. I am anticipating another good year here in the 39th District. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, April 12th. This will be the date for the District meeting and the Grand Master’s visit. This year we will be meeting at Nichols-West Asheville Lodge No. 650, located at 22 Brevard Rd. As in the past the meal will start at 6:15 PM with a tyled/tiled meeting starting at 7:00 PM. The pass will be taken up at the door. Please have your current dues card with you . The District Officers will be received prior to the Grand Master’s entrance.
I would like to encourage each Master and/or Secretary to get a head count as to who will be attending from your lodge and report this to Worshipful Brother Jack Barnett, Secretary of Nichols-West Asheville at least two-weeks prior to the meeting so they can get a true and accurate account of the amount of food needed.
